MARGARET FLORENCE "MARJORIE, MARGE" HALLAM

MS. MARGARET FLORENCE "MARJORIE" OR "MARGE" HALLAM, passed peacefully at her home, Monday, April 19, 2010. Ms. Hallam was born in Warracknabeal, Australia on February 11, 1935. She lived and worked in Europe before making Houston her home. Ms. Hallam moved to Houston, Texas where she became a successful travel agent. She always maintained ties with Australia, but grew to love Houston as her home. Ms. Hallam will be remembered for her grand anecdotes and clever schemes. Life around "Marge" was never boring, and close friends remember her as "always up to something." She loved working in her garden and flower beds around her home more than anything else. Ms. Hallam is survived by many beloved friends including Bob and Joan Connor of Houston, Texas; Susan Hook of Newton, Massachusetts; and Michael Olsen of Houston, Texas. Memorial services will be held at the chapel of Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, Saturday, May 8th at 11 A.M. with Reverend Bruce Noble officiating.
