Marie Spiller Obituary
1928-2018
Mrs. Marie Spiller expired Friday, October 5, 2018 after a brief illness. Marie was the youngest of five children born December 17, 1928 in Evergreen, Texas to Green and Mary Ann Williams. She attended public schools in San Jacinto County and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas. She completed her Bachelor degree in Education as Cum Laude at Texas Southern University. She worked in the Houston Independent School District as an elementary school educator for 25 years. She was united in holy matrimony to Johnnie Eddie Spiller. Their union was blessed with two beautiful sons, Johnny Edward and Willie Marvin Spiller. They shared a life of mutual love and devotion for 61 years until Johnnie Eddie's death in April 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son Willie. She is survived by her son, Johnny Edward Spiller and his wife, Alexis; one sister, Mrs. Callie Elmore; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13th at The Fort Bend Church, 1900 Eldridge, Sugar Land, Texas 77478, Pastor Byron C. Stevenson Officiating. Visitation 10:00 AM, Service 11:00 AM. Interment, Sandfield Cemetery Evergreen, TX.
