Marilyn Lyne Obituary

Marilyn Dashiell Lyne passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, in Richardson, Texas. Marilyn was born on April 18, 1939, to Albert M Dashiell, MD (Abbie) and Lucille Jackson Dashiell in Bryan, Texas.
She graduated from Houston's Lamar High School with Honors and earned a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a proud member of the Chi Omega sorority. Marilyn was married to James R Lyne, Jr (Bob) and had three children. After raising her children, she worked at ABB Lummus Engineering until she retired. She loved animals, especially dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents Abbie and Lucille Dashiell and her former husband, Bob Lyne. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Franklin, Rob Lyne, and David Lyne (Amber), grandchildren Brandon Lyne, Savannah Lyne, Gracie Booth, Torsten Booth, sister Diane Broberg (Peter), brothers Al Dashiell (Randa) and Doug Dashiell (Amy) and her nieces and nephews.
A burial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer 12800 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77077. A Celebration of Life will follow at Rio Ranch 9999 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77042 in the Lone Star room from 11 AM to 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association or the Animal Rescue group of your choice.
