I was in Mr. Cherry's first Biology class he taught at San Jacinto Jr College in fall of 1961. He was a very good teacher, I was a very poor student, disappointed him, I'm sure, but somehow escaped with a "C" which I considered success! Little did I know. I do remember his field trips, walking across LaPorte Rd to examine the flora along the railroad track north of Pasadena High School. I regret never having returned to thank him, for everything! He was definitely not someone most would ever forget! Great guy!

Dr. Marlin O. Cherry was my science teacher at San Jacinto College 1960-62. He had high expectations for his students, he was the inspiration that lead to my teaching of 6th Grade Math and Science. Nothing but fond memories of the man.

I worked with Dr. Cherry for several years at San Jacinto College and my brother, David Aldrich, went to church with him. He was a tough, but good man. Ruth

Dr. Cherry was my biology teacher at San Jacinto College. He was a very good teacher. My father, Dr. Thomas M. Spencer, the first president of San Jac was proud to have Dr. Cherry as part of the founding faculty.
