Martin Brown Obituary

MARTIN STANLEY BROWN passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10th. He was born on Christmas Day almost 55 years ago and all his life embodied the qualities we associate with this blessed day. He lived every day like it was Christmas; he was generous, faithful, and full of love and mirth. Marty was a senior real estate representative at Valero Energy. He was also a faithful fan of the Longhorn football team being a 1973 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Marty is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of almost 36 years, Gail Stiles Brown, and three adoring daughters and two son-in-laws Tammy and Alex Zimmerman , Amanda and Brad Beerwinkel, and Jessica Brown. His grandchildren Grayson and Allie Zimmerman will dearly miss their Big Da. Cordell Brown and Carole LaRoche also mourn the loss of their baby brother, and are joined by countless friends and family members. A memorial service and celebration of Marty Brownfs life will be held at Tomball United Methodist Church (1603 Baker Drive) on Thursday, December 29th at 1 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be given in his memory to Habitat for Humanity.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I worked with Marty during the Stop n Go days. I did not know Marty very well but would speak to him in passing. He always had the greatest spirit that any human being could ever know. I will always keep him in my heart and in my prayers. May his soul rest in peace...Amen

I am very saddened to hear about Marty passing away. Marty was always a very caring and giving person and always had such a positive outlook on life. It was a great pleasure to work with and around such a great man. My heart really goes out to all the family and friends he had, which were many.

Gail and Family-

I just wanted to let you all know that I am a better person for having the opportunity to work with Marty alomst 8 years and to have his friendship for 15 plus years. I always enjoyed going to the Chirstmas Tree Farm when my kids were little because Marty was doing the HO! HO! HO!. He would call all three of them by name and they had no idea how Santa knew them. He was a good friend and will be missed. I wll continue to lift up your family in prayer as I know that through God's stregnth's you can receive comfort. Take care!
