Michael Etuk Obituary

MICHAEL SIDNEY (Kokoete) ETUK, 54, a loving husband and father was born on January 1, 1948 in Etinan, Nigeria - West Africa and suddenly passed into eternity on June 1, 2002 in Houston, Texas USA. He was a Texas Southern University graduate. He worked as a senior mortgage loan officer. His religious affiliation was with Brotherhood of the Cross and Star where he was an appointed pastor and Leader's Representative. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Affiong Henry Akpabio and stepmother, Mrs. Ibiom Jacob Etuk. He is survived by his wife, Anna M. Etuk and two sons, Godwin M. and Andrew M. Etuk; his father, Sr. Pastor Sidney I.U. Etuk (Alice); three brothers, Edward (Wife), Iwatt, and Iwatt Julian; four sisters, Helen (Kokoete Obot), Ini (Dr. Okon Ansa), Eno, and Nse (Gibson George) and a host of relatives and friends. Wake Keeping will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at Victory Hall, 9801 Bissonnet at 9:00 p.m. On Saturday June 22, 2002, the body may be viewed from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Garden Oaks Funeral Home at 13430 Bellaire Blvd. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
