We were all very saddened to learn that Mike had passed away. All four of us have special Temagami memories of Mike and how he made our lives brighter and better. To us Mike was ever generous, caring, and helpful.
Mary-Beth, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. To all of you we extend our sincerest sympathies.

I would like you to know how thankful I am to Dr. G for giving my husband (then age 55) a "NEW" heart in May, 2000 & then yelling at him about 2 months later in the office in order to get him to return to reality and get out of his depression. I knew then how special was this man who knew his life and skills would be shortened by his illness. We wanted to tell him thanks later but he had retired and moved. My mom remembers him as courageous in 1996 when bald from chemo he repaired by step-dad's heart. My heart goes out to all of you. (Formerly of Houston, Tx)

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike very well at SW Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a good friend as well as a fellow physician and OSU grad ( I graduated OSU Medical School in 1959). Willaim R. Kendall, M.D.

What a valiant, good-humored soldier in his private war against disease. He showed you all how to live and how to die. His name and memory will bring courage and laughter for generations to come.
