Mike Berry Obituary

Mike Allen Berry passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at the age of 69 years. He was born on February 21, 1945, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Louise Lawless, and raised by Jason Elmer and Stella Berry. Mike proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and participated with the Katy V.F.W. Post 9182.
He is survived by his wife, Ellie Berry; son, Michael Berry and his wife April; daughter, Jessica Berry and her fiancé James Walsh; a grandson, Kaleb Christian Berry; niece Delores Forrest; two half-sisters; and one half-brother. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jason Elmer and Stella Berry.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Don Kish reciting. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, in Katy, with Deacon Don Kish officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Monday at Houston National Cemetery.

lola and i are sorry to hear of mike's passing...as a fellow vietnam vet, i got to know mike thru vfw..he will be eating piue-ala-mode in heavan...his humor will be missed by us all...

We will remember you always and miss you dearly.
Take your Warrior's rest for a duty well done.

I wish to extend to members of your family my deepest sympathy on their loss. May the force of GOD be with them as they walk through this difficult time. May the loving promises of our LORD and Savior comfort them and give them strength.
