Mike Haner Obituary

Mike Haner
1981-2015
Michael Colin (Mike) Haner, 33, beloved son, brother and friend, passed with his family by his side on September 8th in Austin, Texas. A native Texan, born in Lubbock on October 9, 1981, he died unexpectedly of diabetes complications. He was employed as Manager-Supply Chain at Philips Lighting in San Marcos, Texas.
Mike lived life like no other! He was known fondly by his family and friends as "Michael, Michael, Motorcycle" and "Haner-Bananer." He will be remembered for his humor, his tenderness, his innate coolness, his crazy intelligence, his bizarre eating habits, his calming nature and his sweet spirit. Mike's moral compass was always set toward helping others, above all. He was the best person many of us have ever known.
"Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns. It calls me on and on, across the universe."
Survivors include his mother Jeanne Praed Haner of Houston, his father Richard Haner of Austin, and his brother Evan Haner of Los Gatos, California.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.

I never had the joy and privelege of meeting Michael Haner, but heard so many stories about him from his mother, Jeanne, that I felt as though I did. He left us way too early due to diabetes complications. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Words do very little to console people at a time like this, but I hope they know that they are in our thoughts and prayers for their loss.

It may seemed as if life passes as in a blink of an eye (Psalms 90:10), but the moments and the beautiful memories shared will last a life time. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
