I keep forgetting that you are gone. I wish I could hear just one more song, just one more joke and that wonderful laugh...just one more time. All the tributes to you capture your spirit and all you contributed to others. Love you forever, your sister Mary.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Longley on a plane ride to Lubbock Texas one weekend in 2003. We happened to cross paths again at Kelsey Seybold clinic shortly there after. What a wonderful and kind man he was. He will be missed.

Miss you!

No one could brighten the mood and morale of the work place as Dr. Longley could. He came with a smile on his face , a song on his lips, and delightful tales for patients and staff alike. He had such a positive energy and exhuberance for work, laughter, and life .
I was fortunate to have the pleasure of working with and learning so much from Dr. Longley. I was blessed to know him as my friend.

I got to know you when we both worked at St.Mary's in Galveston. We both lived out on the west end of the island. You were a hoot in the doctors lounge, I really enjoyed your sense of humor. Well our paths crossed again here at Kelsey Seybold as we both continued to live on the island island. I saw you once since you retired, but I will never forget your smile sense of humor and your way of making the best of each day will always stay with me. My sincere sympathy to your family.

Dear Dr Longley,
I am so grateful to have known you over the years. When I first came to Kelsey-Seybold in 1990 you made me feel right at home; always cheerful, disarming, telling jokes and singing so beautifully! You were also a great teacher...I will miss you. Enjoy singing with the angels!

I was scheduled to have a "cold one" with Neill this coming Friday in McAllen. Had a mental list of many warm, friendly and funny memories. Neill, if you see me coming, hold that Golden Gate open real wide. Need all the help you can give me. Marvin Peterson

Dr. Longley- You were kind-hearted man with a zest for life. I look back with love all the times we sang and harmonized here at Kelsey-Seybold West...from Billy Joel to the oldies to the Christmas carols. There was always time to pause and hear your latest joke. Thanks for all the fun and kindness you brought us. You are singing with the saints now.

Saundra and I were saddened today upon hearing from Sarah Richards that her father, our friend Neill Longley, had recently passed away. Our sincerest sympathy to Leslie and every member of Neill's family. I had many fun times playing tennis with Neill at the Houston Racquet Club and the Galveston Racquet Club, and especially enjoyed the social hour with him after tennis, and I wish I had gotten to go fishing with him a lot more times. He was so much fun to be with. Neill was a wonderful man, a good friend and we will always miss him and his smiling face and his great humor.

Dr. Longley had the voice of an angel and now he is singing in God's choir. Everytime I hear Elton John's "Piano Man", I will think of Dr. Longley singing. You are missed by quite a lot of people sir. But you are in good company!

"Trailer for sale or rent" how many times I remember Dr.Longley singing this song while working with difficult patients. It always seemed to calm and disarm them allowing us all to care for them and complete their exams. This was only one of his many gifts he used and shared. Gone from this Earth but never to be forgotten as we all share and pass on his legacy. Diana Arnold RN BSN
