Olan Mack Bryan Sr.

OLAN MACK BRYAN, SR. 84, passed away on April 23, 2009 in Humble, TX. He was born in Slocum, TX on July 11, 1924 to John William and Donie Ada Scott Bryan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Kathryn, sisters, Opal Rutledge, Billie Cox, and brother Luther Carroll. Olan is survived by his daughter, Cheryl K. Lamb, Humble, TX; son, Olan Jr. and wife Lynda, Houston, TX; five grandchildren: Jason Curry, Cathy Sylvester, Paul, Kyle and Jillian Bryan; five great-grandchildren. Olan served in the US Air Force during WWII and traveled to France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland. He later worked as a Civil Service Base Engineer welder at Ellington AFB. He and his wife retired to Lake Houston Marina in Huffman, TX in 1998. "Catfish Bryan" to his friends on the lake loved running his trotlines and playing card games and dominoes with his family. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm with a chapel service to begin at 12:30 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
