Orenzer Carroll Obituary
1919-2021
Mrs. Orenzer Lockhart Carroll, long time resident of the Sunnyside community, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the age of 102, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Bessie Lockhart, husband James E. Carroll, Sr., sisters Willie Mae Peters and Johnnie Hughes Scott, and daughter-in-law Javance Carroll. She is survived by her eight children: James E. Carroll, Jr. (Freddie), Johnny Carroll, Lois M. Gaston (Robert), Milton Carroll (Cynthia), Glory J. Churchwell (Darryl), Bobbie J. Daniel (Sam), Glenda G. Payne (Irvin) and Sharon E. Mitchell (Osby); 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives and friends. The homegoing service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00am at The Church at Bethel's Family, 12660 Sandpiper Drive, Houston, Texas 77035, with a viewing beginning at 9:00am. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
