I like to visit you here. It beats going to a grave where you aren't there anyway. I still miss you like crazy.
I did not know what I had.

When Paul Passed on to the Rainbow he left me an abundance of wealth: Paulisms and lessons. Recipies for good food like potato salad, German Ribs and sour kraut, Pauly's BBQ sauce and Marinaid, how o dig a garden, use a weed eater, how to laugh!!!! Boca boca, little Rat Dog and the "proper way"to do things.

Paul was my first soccer coach for Clarkstown SC (German American) back when I was in 3rd grade and he was in High School. He was an excellent instructor and had a great deal of patience with a bunch of wild kids. He was a big part of my learning the game that I love. My prayers go out to Paul, his family and friends.

When I think of Paul I automatically get a smile on my face. I have such great memories of spending the night at the Rocker's summer house in Montauk and laughing with Paul and his shenanigans. I remember the first time he jumped off the top of Uncle Harold's boat. All of the other kids watching in awe as he came up from the water and breaking into laughter-oh that laugh. I don't remember any kid laughing and enjoying himself as much as Paul. He made for a lot of great memories. Thanks Paul. Doreen

We never met (in this lifetime), but you're a good friend of Kathy's so I'm sure you'd be a friend of mine too. Maybe we'll meet in the next. And if so, you'll already come highly regarded. Rest in peace.

Once they walked among us, laughing, yelling, whispering, keeping watch. We knew them, we spoke to them. We took them by the hand. We loved them. They were our friends, our families, our heroes. Now ashes or in the crumbled earth, they are our memories, remaining in this world if not visible to it. They wait for us along shaded avenues; secluded to us as only urban dwellers can know seclusion among the many within the perplexing grids laid out by those whose care the memory of their history, of their existence we have entrusted our dead. As we walk among the temples, towers, stone blocks, which are their witness in this time after their time. A rushing wind may stir the voices come not from the grave but from within our own flesh encased bones. The murmurs we hear are the are the murmurs of those we have lost made part of us.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I considered Paul a friend growing up in adjacent homes in New City, NY and some of my all time favorite days were in Montawk, NY. with the Rockers
I remember his dry sense of humor that not everyone understood and his calm, easy going personality.
My sincere sympathy to all Paul's family and friends.

Paul and I grew up together in New City, our houses shared backyards. As young families, the whole neighborhood would pack up and go camping at Hither Hills in Montauk. We would spend many days at the house on Marlin Lane. He had an infectious smile and I remember his talent as a soccer player. My love and prayers go out to all of the Rockers, Loni,Gina, John, Peter and all of Pauls loved ones. Memories of Paul are always warm and happy. May you all find peace.
