PETER EVANS PRATT, 69, was born on the 25th of January 1938 and died Friday, the 16th of February 2007, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's disease, a neurological brain disorder. Peter is survived by his wife, Anne Winterbotham Pratt; daughter, Kim Bebshaw and husband, Jeb, and their children, Mason and Travis; son, Peter Pratt, Jr. and wife, Cathy, and their children Shreve, Fletcher, and Lexy; son, Scott Pratt and his wife, Jeri; and youngest son, Jody. He is also survived by his mother, Alice Evans Pratt; and his sister, Saint Claire Seifert. The family wishes to extend their most sincere appreciation to his caregivers, Nancy Jackson, Sherrie Conger, and Rita Benavides. Peter was a native Houstonian and attended the Kinkaid School, The Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut, and was graduated from St. Stephen's School in Austin, Texas. He was a graduate of the University of Texas where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Peter was a member of the Houston Country Club, Allegro, and the Kiwanis Club of Houston. Peter enjoyed a lifelong career in the financial services industry and was widely admired by his peers and enjoyed many friendships among his colleagues at Rotan Mosle, Kidder, Peabody and Paine Webber from where he retired. Peter was an avid sportsman who enjoyed tennis, hunting, and fishing. He was also a wonderful competitor who ran in four marathons including running the New York City marathon twice. The memorial service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 21st of February, at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard in Houston, with the Rev. Dr. Laurens A Hall officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the adjacent Sumner Hall. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests contributions in memory of Peter Pratt be directed to the Baylor College of Medicine and mailed to Department of Neurology, c/o Office of Development, One Baylor Plaza, MS: BCM160, Houston, TX, 77030.

When I was a child-The Pratt family lived next door to my grandparents. Peter was a live wire. In college-Peter was larger than life as a mentor, an SAE and as a friend. I always have and always will think of him fondly and with great respect.
