Peter "Pete" Stephen Reinthaler
1939-2022
Peter Stephen Reinthaler, son of Elmer and Beatrice Rosenwald Reinthaler, passed on March 28, 2022 in Atascocita, Texas.
Pete owned an insurance agency in Bellaire, Texas and was a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Houston.
Pete was a car guy to the core and always maintained a garage full of antique cars. Model T Fords were his favorite, but overall, he just loved cars. He spent many hours teaching the younger generation about how to restore and maintain Model "T"s.
Pete loved music and was truly musically inclined. He sang bass in the church choir and played cello for the Houston Civic Symphony Orchestra. Each year on New Year's Day, Pete would host an event at his home where he and his guests would eat, drink, and play the Brandenburg Concertos. He traveled extensively and visited 97 countries.
Pete is survived by his sister Joan, his daughter Allison, his stepdaughter Denise, and his stepson Christopher. Pete's son John preceded him in passing. In addition, Pete fostered 15 troubled teenage children.

Pete and Audi were my neighbors in Bellaire for over 10 years until they moved to Washington. I attended several of their New Year´s Day events. I missed them a lot after they moved from Bellview.

My most heartfelt condolences to all Pete's family. He was an amazing man. He was our insurance agent for the business, but became a fond friend. I have the highest respect and was always in awe of him. We used to eat do lunch on Thursdays on regular basis with the Knights at White Oak. May he be in Heavenly peace.

I've lived in the Humble area for 40+ years and have been a Model-T enthusiast since a teenager when I acquired a 1926-TT Closed Cab stake truck, which I was restoring when I lost it in a storage facility fire many years ago. I had heard rumor that there was another person in the area that may have had one, but was never able to make contact. Seeing the picture of Peter with one, and reading his obit makes me wish I had worked harder at finding him, as we obviously shared the same kindred spirit.

Pete was my insurance guy when I lived in Houston 30 years ago. He was just as this obituary described him. With fond memories of Pete and his help during troubled times, now just distant memories.
