Philip Joseph Migliore, of Houston, Texas, went home to be with his loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2025. Born on December 18, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA as a first generation American, Philip was the son of the late Reverend Salvatore Migliore and Clara Pergola Migliore. Raised in Pittsburgh, he graduated from Westinghouse High School and attended The University of Pittsburgh where he played the trumpet in the marching band and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. In 1956, Dr. Migliore graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
After marrying his great love Ann Nixon in 1957, Captain Philip J. Migliore, M.D. served his country as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1959. Dr. Migliore began his residency at West Penn Hospital and completed his fellowship in Clinical Pathology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Hospital and Cancer Institute in 1964 and remained there as an Asst. Professor of Pathology until 1969. Professor of Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine with contributions to 20 published research articles. Dear Ann and Family,
I met Dr. Mig in 1978 when I applied for a job at Methodist Hospital Clinical Chemistry lab as a medical technologist. Working with Dr. Mig was amazing. He was dedicated to his profession and treated every employee with dignity. He was a very caring, sincere and humble person and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him. He was certainly a gift to me and many others at Methodist Hospital Clinical Lab. May he rest in peace.

From time to time while on the staff at Methodist Hospital, I would consult Phil about various clinical circumstances in my practice. I always found him to be exceedingly friendly, eager to help and teach, and extremely knowledgeable. it was always a pleasure to head to the second floor of Methodist and visit Phil about my questions. I also send my love and best regards to his most delightful, Anne. RIP my friend and colleague.

I was a Medical Technologist at The Methodist Hospital from 1970 to 2000. I worked with Dr. Mig that entire time. He was a very smart man and a pleasure to work with. He made some long lasting contributions and taught all of us who worked with him. Sending my love to Ann and the kids.
