I remember Rainey when he was in the Youth department at New Faith church and he was the Star of the show on Humor Night. I remember the joy he always had to make anyone who crossed his path Smile or Laugh by any means necessary.I know the Angels in Heaven are bent over laughing.

I was reading through the paper online and this young man caught my eye because of his name and age. My heart go out to his family and friends, especially since I am a mother whose son (Joseph Alllen Raney) was killed in 2006. My heart and peace go out ot you all. I was on my way to put flowers on my son's grave. Bless you.

I did not know Rainey personally, but I watched him walk in to the AT&T Presidio location on a daily basis, not until his illness was made known did I have a name for the walk. My heart and my prayers for strength and courage go to his family at this time, memories are such a sweet sweet treasure, remember all the good time. Rest in peace Rainey, God's blessing to the family.

Rainey was such a deep, intelligent and caring person. He had so much drive and determination to succeed in life that he allowed nothing to stand in his way! Rainey has changed my view of life in so many ways. I miss him so much. I know that this has to be so difficult for everyone's life that he touched. My deepest sympathy goes to the family and friends that had the privilege of knowing Rainey!

To the family may your hearts be filled with wonderful times, as we celebrate a life well-lived?
Your loss, though it may seem unbearable right now, but ‘this too shall pass”. God is too kind to be cruel. God is too wise to make a mistake. God is too deep to have to explain Himself.
And because, God still sits on the throne, be not dismayed, whatever betide, God, will take care of you. God is not only the resource. He is the source.
I pray that the peace of God, will keep you calm. The presence of God, give you comfort. And the praises of God, be your daily conversation.
And may God who never sleeps, continue to watch over you and yours.

I met Rainey about a month ago when we learned of his illness and he started working in the office instead of in the field. I admired his drive and determination until the very end to come to work every day under the severe health conditions he was facing. He was a DEDICATED LOYAL worker and I am proud to have known him if only for a short time. He gave it his all until he just could not go anymore. We will miss our AT&T fellow colleague, but take great comfort in knowing he is finally resting peacefully. Sharon A. Jones AT&T Houston, TX

I worked side by side everday with Rainey at Time Warner Cable. We were in the same tech group together he was my closest friend at TWC. not a day went by that we didnt hear his hilarious jokes and his musical influence. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know rainey has unwavering faith as he professed his love of the lord constantly. I am sure he is with the lord working on his drum solo and basketball game. Rainey will be missed here on earth. "Rainey; Save a place for me."
