Ralph Favor Obituary
1941-2016
Ralph Ellis Favor passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the age of 75 years. He was born on June 21, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Andrew Jackson Favor, Jr. and Georgia Cecile Langston. Ralph worked for the U.S.D.A. supporting the efforts to eradicate the boll weevil in South Texas, and was an air traffic controller earlier in his career.
He is survived by his mother, Georgia Langston Bigley of Victoria, Texas; daughter, Melony Favor Gay and her husband Bryan of Katy, Texas; two grandchildren, Austin and Travis Gay; sisters, Cecile Favor Pierce and her husband Joe of Texarkana, Texas, Andrea Favor Zdansky and her husband George of Victoria, Texas, and Linda "Polly" Carter Powers and her husband Glen of Richmond, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson Favor, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy, with Rev. Robert Jackman officiating.
