So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I've know the Cargill family for over 40 years. In fact, Ray used to work for my father, Billy Mayo, many years ago. To the Cargill Family.... I send my condolences to Craig, Tammy and all of the family and I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Paula (Mayo) Miller.

What wonderful memories I have of Ray. When the new Student Union Building was built at SAM, I danced many an hour away with him. (Mostly slow jitter-bug to "Glow Worm"). If he was NOT the best dancer at SAM, he was right up there at the top. We will always be missing you, Ray,and that great personality. God Bless your family. Our peace be with you!

Neighbor, Teacher & Friend Ray,
You may be away...but rest assured, you will NEVER be gone in our lives! You taught us much about how to really LIVE in this world. We witnessed, firsthand, how you helped so many of your fellow man, never asking for anything in return.
We saw you way back when on the EYES OF TEXAS show, where they featured you taking the wood from junk pallets and making beautiful art. Lesson learned...everything is beautiful!

I met Ray in New York City and fell in love with him as all people do.He will always be special,Lots of fond memories.I will always hold him dear to heart.He left behind a beautiful and loving family. And his best friend "Frisky" who he was so proud of!They will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Daddy Ray is already missed. I miss my phone calls, the laughter, his smile It was a pleasure to know him, he will all ways be in my heart. Tammy and Craig remember I love you guys.

Many people today at our class luncheon had not heard of Ray's passing, and were deeply saddened. Everyone remembered what a fun person he was. I am glad that he and Dorothy were able to come to the past two get-togethers. We shall truely miss him.

I am shocked. I was hoping to see Ray Darrell at lunch today. Many of my fondest memories include Ray Darrell, and his entire family.
To know him was to love him.
