Robert Bookout Obituary
loving husband of Melinda Bookout, went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2014. He leaves many family members and friends as well as the church choir that he sang in for many years.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 9, at Sugar Land Baptist Church. Donations may be made to: Vision 2020 Fund, Sugar Land Baptist Church, 16755 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land TX 77479.

Robert was my little league baseball coach in Weslaco, Tx. He coached me as part of the Rotary team and in my final year, coached me in the all-stars. We had a good team giving Brownsville West a run for their money. I wanted to win for coach, he was always a very caring and respectful man. I will always miss him, RIP Coach.

We are so sad at Robert's passing. We grew up together and had many good times to remember. Our prayers go to all of Robert's family and to all the Bookouts.

Dear family and friends of Robert. I was privileged to work with him for a few years in the 1980's in Harlingen and in Mercedes. He was a very hard working man who took his jobs and his businesses very seriously. I am grateful for the times we spent together traveling to different areas for sales presentations, for his camaraderie, for his instruction and for the inevitable York Peppermint Chocolate Pattie we would get after a meal. He had a great story about his time on the U.S.S. Enterprise that should be published somewhere. I also had the privilege of knowing his nice parents. May all his family and friends keep him present in your thoughts and remember what he added to your life. I believe he had a relationship with Jesus Christ and I therefore expect to see him again. This is my hope for you also.

I am sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I worked for him back in 1985. I last saw him 20 yrs ago and last heard from him around 14 years ago. He was very energetic and motivated. I still remember his wonderful parents and family. Please accept my condolences to his loved ones. May he rest in peace.

WAS VERY HEART BROKEN WHEN MRS.MELINDA INFORMED US OF THE PASSING OF MR.BOOKOUT. MR.BOOKOUT BECAME A GREAT FRIEND TO OUR AGENCY.HE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND NEVER LEFT THE OFFICE WITHOUT GIVING US A JOKE.HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!

Brother Ken & wife Janis and Sister Janice & husband Kim as well as their families
I've known his kids since Michelle & I were 9 years old and have always felt like Robert was a 2nd "dad". He was deeply loved & will be greatly missed.

Sad to hear the news of Terry's passing. His mother, Chole was a precious individual when we worked together in the school district. Also, Terry was a great individual and employee with the schools. Our condolences to the family.
