Dear Candy, Teddy, R.H. and grandchildren,
Your mom and grandmother was a very special friend to us.
We met her here in Belgium and had a great time. Later we visit her in Houston and she let us stay in her “Casa”. We enjoyed our stay and learned a lot of her. She was a wonderful lady and it was so easy to love her. She will always be in our thoughts and we wish you the strength to get thru this time of grief.
Our love and deepest sympathy,
Willy and Carla De Wyn-De Meester, Wachtebeke, Belgium

I never had the honor of meeting Roberta personally, however her grand-daughter, Maria, is like a sister to me. Just like Maria and Candy, I know that Roberta was a remarkable woman. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Ms Defran was a great lady, filled with gracious humor and trancendant class. She also produced two wonderful daughters I am proud to call my friends.

My condolences to all of her family. I just met Ms. Roberta during the celebration at the church for The Feast of St. Joseph. Though our chats were few and short, I enjoyed them all. I learned so much about her and I always looked forward to seeing and speaking with her. Ms. Roberta I especially enjoyed our chat over coffee the Sunday after Easter, even more than you! ;-)
With much love,
Kicker

Roberta,
Mary Ellen and I will always remember you in our hearts. You always had nothing but good things to say about everyone. We will miss your smile at St. Joseph every Sunday. You used to say, "How I miss Daddy." You are with Daddy and the Father now. How happy you must be. Our condolences to the family. Our prayers are with you.

To The Family of Roberta Defran: I met Roberta here in St. Luke's office as she was a volunteer at Texas Children's Hospital. Such a lovely and warm person. The beautiful smile she carried around will always be a part of my memory.

Welcome Home my Good and Faithful Servant. This is very fitting for Roberta who served not only her Church but her God. I remember Roberta when she used to come to my house to give my mom Communion every week. My mom looked forward to her visits as they would sit there and talk about their children and how proud they were of each and every one of them. They would pray together and yes sometimes cry together. Roberta used to tell my mom that she was a beautiful person and that we, her children, were a reflection of her. So now I am telling you that Roberta was a beautiful person and you are a reflection of her. God Bless you during this difficult time and may the soul of Roberta DeFran rest in peace.

Dear Family and dear friends of Mrs. Roberta Defran,
I only briefly knew this child of Our Heavenly Father, The Thrice-Holy God and Our Blessed Mother Mary. I met her sitting outside The Saint Jude Chapel at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She participated in the daily Rosary and Daily Holy Mass there. When I first saw her, I thought, what a beautiful lady. She spoke words of love of God and Mary. We will again share her beautiful smile in heaven. Amen.

I will miss Momina greatly. Both sets of my grandparents lived out of town, so Mrs. Defran was my grandmother. I grew up living next door to her and played with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful, sweet, loving person and I am blessed to have grown up with her in my life.

Dear Candy, Teddy and R.H. Sorry to hear that you lost your Mother. Jimmy has been so kind to keep us informed of your lives...and of Bobbie's. You all were lucky to have her so long. I still have the ring she brought me from South America, so I thought of her often. With love, Cathy O'Connor

These few words hardly begin to describe the wonderful friend whom I was blessed to know. I extend my deepest sympathy to Candy, Teddy, R.H. and the grandchildren. Though we will all miss her dearly, I am convinced she will forever enjoy her new dwelling in the Father's House.
"Well done, good and faithful servant . . . enter into the joy of your Lord."

My heart is broken. Bobbie was the key to my soul. We loved each other and shared all our feelings. If it is possible to loose two Mothers in life, I just did. Candy, Teddy, and R.H. please don't forget me.

Roberta Defran was one of my closest friends and will be treasured for the rest of my life. She always had kind words to say. Never an unkind word. She always told me "Your Special to me, always so considerate of others." All I can say is, it is so hard to say goodbye to such a sweet friend as you. Roberta, you will be remembered fondly in my heart forever. Goodbye my little angel, Rest in Peace.

Words alone can't express my heartfelt sorrow for the loss of our beloved Roberta. She truly was a genuine and caring friend to all. Especially to her extended family at St. Joseph Church.
We were blessed to have known her and honored to call her a friend.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to her entire family and friends in this time of sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories of a beautiful and precious lady bring you comfort. Roberta, you will be missed forever! And just as we always said, "TODO CAMBIA".
