I learned of Roy's passing just today. I'm shocked and very sorry. I worked for Roy as a trainer for the massive PC deployment/upgrade in 2002/2003. As I told Roy after the project was finished, I never had a better boss than him. We've kept in touch periodically since then and I am proud to say that I could count such a fine man as a friend. The world is a better place because of Roy.

To Linda and family ---

I just learned of Roy's untimely death a few days ago. You might remember me and my wife Marilyn from the "older" KYB days and Taylor basketball. Roy was always a pleasure to be around during those years and very dedicated to whatever he did. The KYB league was much better as a result of his dedication. In the last couple years I began seeing Roy at the gym. He always had time to talk and we enjoyed catching up on the progress of our children as they grew up.

Also, Epiphany has a monthly bereavement meeting that meets every 1st Monday of the month. My wife Marilyn is one of the facilitators. They offer this as a non-denominational community service and many people who have had losses have benefited from attending.

Our hearts are with you ---- Jim & Marilyn Schmitt
