Ruben, Not a single day goes by that I do not think of you. You have left a memorable mark that is so unforgetable. We met so many years ago and then distance separated us. You were a remarkable *FRIEND* who truly took my care and well being in your trust. I am without words, the unexpressionable friendship we shared and enjoyed. Thank You, for being my friend.

My Dear Brother a year has just passed. I still think of the many things that only Big Brothers do for little brothers.
Not a day goes by that I don't I think of the many one on one times we spent together.
I really miss miss you! I know time will heal all, but It hurts like it was just yesterday that we lost you!

The new year has begun and we made it through the holidays and it was not easy. You were not here to open gifts with us or sit and joke while we were eating. You were the only one missing and it hurt so bad. I miss you more every day.

Ruben,
I just found out about your passing this past weekend when I ran into Jimmy. The many battles you have fought over the last eight years since I have known you and the pain you suffered, I know you are in a better place now. But I cant help but be selfish and wish you were still with us here. Since I have left Houston, we havent been in contact with each other as much as we were, but I know you knew how much you meant to me and your family. You could alway make me laugh and feel better about myself, even when you weren't feeling too great yourself. But of course you always made everyone feel better when they were around you, with not only your sense of humor and smile, but with your words. I'll miss not being able to pick up the phone and give you a quick call because I knew you could always make things seem okay. I'll cherish the many dinners we shared, as well as the many nights we just sat around and watched movies(even that damn "Price is Right" video that you never got tried of seeing and now I'm wishing I could see it just one more time with you). May you be at peace and with the angels, because I know God has big plans for you............

The holidays are here and I'm missing your laughter and wishing you were here. Knowing your not suffering anymore helps a little but I want to be able to hug you and sit and talk with you. The baby is growing so fast and her 2nd Birthday is around the corner and I'm wanting you here to help celebrate with us. It is still so hard to say good-bye, I'm not sure that I ever will. You are in a better place now,you are not suffering or in any pain anymore. Ruben was one of the best friends I've ever had . I have many fond memories of our adventures together I met him when he transfered from Cuero school to Yoakum, he and I worked together at Pizza Hut for four years. The last time I saw Ruben was at my birthday party last year. I will miss him dearly. My heart goes out to his family, Diana, Jime and Rick ,you will all be remembered in my prayers. God Bless

Dearest Ruben,
I first hand know the pain and suffering you, Rodney and your family have endured over the past year. I feel relieved that that you can finally rest and be out of pain. You knew how special you were to me. I remember the first time we met many many years ago in Galveston, TX. I’ll miss the many emails and occasional phone calls I have received over the years.
