Ryan Simmang Obituary

RYAN STEPHEN SIMMANG, 26, of Montrose, MN, died tragically in an automobile accident Friday, July 14, 2006. Ryan was born in Houston, Texas on September 23, 1979, the son of Mark Edward Simmang and Marsha Lynn Baker Simmang. On February 14, 2001, Ryan and Crystal E. Pope were united in marriage in Buffalo, MN. He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal, children, Caitlynn, 7; Serenity, 5; Rylee, 3; and Karsen, 2; mother, Marsha (J.R.) Leffler of Delano, MN; father, Mark Simmang of Houston, TX; sister, Wendy Leffler of Delano; brothers, Kevin Simmang and Steven Denman of Houston; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Phillip Pope of Montrose; grandparents Milton "Buck" and Mary Simmang of Houston; Anna Jo Baker of Kingsland, TX; Barb and Dean LaVine of Montrose; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the country. He was preceded in death by his material grandfather, J.C. "Red" Baker. Funeral services for Ryan were held on Wednesday, July 19 at the United Methodist Church in Montrose with Rev. Ingrid Bloom officiating and interment followed at the Kreidler Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rob Simmang, Phil Woldstad, Rick Plamann, Darren Leffler, Chad Barnett and Tony Segler. Donations to the Ryan Simmang Memorial Fund may be made to the Citizens State Bank of Waverly, MN, PO Box 68, Waverly, MN 55390.
