Sam Gardner

SAM GARDNER, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went to be with the Lord January 26 in a Houston Hospital with his wife and daughters by his side. Sam is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean; daughters Kathi Powell and husband Rick, Karen Stubblefield and husband Ron; grandchildren, Clint Powell, Clay Powell, Kevin Stubblefield and wife Corina, Brett Stubblefield; great grandson, Julian Stubblefield. Sam was one of ten children born to Samuel Augustus and Lilla Bertha Gardner on February 12, 1929, in Rising Star, Texas. He is survived by two brothers James of Lubbock, Texas, T.D. of Spring, Texas, three sisters, Lucy Marlo of Livingston, Texas, Dorothy Adams of Lubbock, Texas, Lavanne Emery of Tyler, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, January 28 at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas. Funeral Services in his honor will be held at 10:00am, Saturday January 29 at the Klein Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park, S.H. 249, Tomball.
