Shirley and I met through the Battle of Flowers. I thought the world of her. She was kind, friendly, and helpful. Her husband possessed instructions on how to best run a meeting, which she loaned me for my husband when he began to hold statewide meetings. She came to our lake house once, and I thoroughly enjoyed her. She was a special lady. Nancy G. West
