Sidney Lipschultz Obituary

SIDNEY JULES LIPSCHULTZ, 82, of Friendswood, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at a Clear Lake hospital. Sid was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the Army during World War II, receiving many service medals as well as the Good Conduct medal. He moved to the Houston area where he owned and operated Axle and Wheel Aligning Company for over 20 years. Sid is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ann Rainey Lipschultz; children: Phyllis Ham and husband Bob Heilman, Henry Lipschultz and wife Marsha, Phillip Lipschultz and wife Carol; sisters: Silvia Levin of Philadelphia, and Doris Leydon and husband George of Connecticut; grandchildren: Jeff Ham, Brett Lipschultz, Wesley Lipschultz, and Thomas Lipschultz; stepchildren: Kelly McKinley and husband Scott, Timmy Rainey and wife Julie. The family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses on the Leukemia floor of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Visitation will be at 6:00pm and a service at 7:00pm Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Niday Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at 10:45am Friday, April 19, 2002 at Houston National Cemetery.

Sid was one of a kind!

He was such a thoughtful man, lots of fun and so easy to be around.

A warm, caring and generous man that I will miss very much.
