Uncle Buck, "FUNcle" were just two of the monikers our great friend, Stacy Long Owen was known by. StaC was one of those one in a million friends who lived life as if we only get one chance. We would like to honor that life by penning this tribute. Stacy was what one would want in a friend. He was true unto himself and never put on airs but steadfastly stood by his friends. This character was a man of true character and a man of integrity.
When a friend of Stacy's had a temporary assignment in Houston and had to be away from his family for extended periods during a six month period, Stacy made sure he was not alone. He went to great lengths to patronize his friend's quirky wishes and went to far as to join him in seeing the movie Pulp Fiction six times! That is a friend!
Stacy was known for making the most outrageous comments. The comments where one covers their mouth and says, "I don't believe i would have said that" before breaking out in laughter.
Stacy lost his courageous battle with a variety of health issues, but was able to keep his keen sense of humor in spite of the symptoms and challenges. Stacy would want everyone to know he did not die of the corona virus. The only Corona Stacy knew was the cold beer he enjoyed after a great White wing shoot in old Mexico
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the tireless efforts of the love of his life and wife of 47years , Nancy. Stacy's health created numerous monumental challenges and it took someone of Nancy's strength and spirit to stick by his side and tend to his every need always with that huge smile. Hugs to her

In closing, we do not say goodbye to our dear friend but instead, Happy trails to you, until we meet again . Que le vaya bien!
