I'm sorry to hear that Mr. Casey passed away. I only knew him for a short time, being able to be his nurse at St. Luke's a few times, but I know that he will be missed by many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To Tony, Chris, Mary & Kathleen,
After Tom's passing and as we hugged outside his room, what came to me was this. "He is not here, he is not dead. There's an angel passing overhead." It came over and over again in my mind. I couldn't share that with you then, but I can now. You are all in my prayers, much love Sonia

Dear Tommy,

I alway called you Tommy - you were always my Tommy. And I know I was always your Chrissy. You were always my protector - from my earliest memories on W. 43rd street to when mom and dad died. How I wish I could have protected you from these past 2 weeks. I miss you so much. I am going to miss your sense of humor - which was always hilarious. Tony reminded us at the hospital what you used to say about those ridiculous bomb shelter tests we used to do in the 60's:

"we had to get under our desks and put one arm behind our head and the other in front of our head - that was so when the bomb hit, our back arm bone would fuse with our front arm bone" I can hear you saying that now!

You were the best big brother a girl could ever have and I will always treasure my memories of our times together.

I love you Tommy.

Your little sister,
Chris

Dear Tony, Mary and Chris,
I feel the passing of our brother and partner leaves us with a sense of our own immortality. Tom was a quiet, dynamic person. His wit was unsurpassed. He mad us laugh out loud didn't he? He made us laugh out loud - Big Big Laughs from the gut. I thank my brother for the love he held for my daughters and for the unconditional love he held for his family. We all will miss Tom - we wish he were here so that we could experience him in our old age. To face illness in the prime of his life was not what we wanted for him. He has been a brave soul for many years. We love you Tom. And Tony, like I said -- You are the best thing that ever happened to Tom - a real blessing you are!

Love Sissy Kat

Dear Tony,
I feel the pain in your heart. But I also know that you will make it through this difficult time. Taking care of Tom in St.Luke's Cooley 7A and my close interaction with you and Tom's sisters showed me how much Tom was loved and cared for. I am sure he will always be greatly missed. Please take care of yourself. My prayers are with you.

Memories surround me
But sadness has found me
I'd do anything for more time
Never before has someone meant more
And I can't get you out of my mind
There is so much that I don't understand
But I know

You're dancing with the angels
Walking in new life
You're dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you're dancing with the angels

You had love for your family
Love for all people
Love for the Father, and Son
Your heart will be heard
In your unspoken words
Through generations to come
There is so much that I don't understand
But I know

You're dancing with the angels
Walking in new life
You're dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you're dancing with the angels

We're only here for such a short time
So I'm gonna stand up
Shout out
And sing Hallelujah
One day I'll see you again

(I sing this song for you, Tom)
