STEPHEN ROSSKAMM Obituary

ROSSKAMM--Stephen, 93, died peacefully on September 3, at Crane's Mill in West Caldwell, NJ. He fled Nazi Germany in 1937 and lived for many years in Flushing, NY. He leaves his much loved and loving family: his wife of 63 years, Margaret, his children Evelyn Rosskamm Shalom (Stephen Rosskamm Shalom) and Vivian Rosskamm (John Lewis), his grandchildren, Jessica Shalom Greenberg (Richard Greenberg) and Alexander Rosskamm Shalom (Andrea Delbanco), and his great-grandchildren Emma, Anna, Nathaniel, and Rosie. He rose from stock boy to executive at Bernhard Ulmann Company, and kept on a first-name basis with everyone. After retirement he devoted himself to his family, work for various charities, his unique collages and hutches, his painting, and his kidding. Steve will be dearly missed. Funeral services are private.

Mr.Rosskamm was a bright light in our community at Crane's Mill. I only have fond memories of the stories and laughs that I was fortunate enough to share with him. He will be truly missed by both residents and staff.
