I was so shocked to hear of Steve's passing....We go way way back to the days of the Red Barn in Kemah when I had the pleasure of working with Bob Mills and the KIRBY TRIO....Steve was a quiet one back then, but he was one AWESOME drummer...I will always cherish the memories of working with him back then...Rest in Peace Steve til we meet again....Although we hadn't seen each other in years I often thought about a reunion...Looks like HEAVEN will be our reunion place...GOD BLESS you Don and Doug and the rest of the family....Huggggggs!!

Steve was a special treasure---always kind, always caring. He loved our daughters unconditionally and always always...a sweet person to each of us. I will always treasure our family times.

Steve and I worked at the same place for years. For me his easy going and pleasant nature made the burdens of going to a job, a little bit nicer. One year, there was a job in Dallas and Steve drove all the way there so I could drive back. On the way back I stop at a store so Steve could get a six pack for when he got home. He came out with a big smile and said, you knew this was a dry county. I have only good thoughts about this man, God bless. Vern Hutchins
