I haven't seen you in years, but I just had to write to tell you how much Tracye's blog has touched my heart and my life these past few days as I have read about her journey. She was clearly a gift from God that touched more people in her too-short life than most of us can ever dream of in 10 lifetimes. You and the girls will be in my prayers. If you ever want to get away to Austin, my family would love to host your family.

God must have needed a CEC --Chief entertainment coordinator! I met your mom on an ACTS retreat where I had tremendous struggles. She comforted everyone she met with her magnetic personality and quick wit. Her rendition of Barry Manilow saved the weekend! I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless.

I was deeply sadened to learn of Trayce's death. I went to St. Joseph's Academy, and reconnected with her on Facebook. I have been praying for her and her family daily with the hope of a miracle. She was truly a bright shining spirit in this world. I will continue to pray for her 3 young girls whose lives will be forever shaped by the loss of their wonderful mother. I also have 3 young daughters, and can not imagine the trauma of such a loss. I always remember that Tracye had a smile on her face and did things 150%. She will live always in the hearts of those who loved her. My thoughts are with each of you during this very difficult time.

To Tracye's loving family especially Doug & your precious little Angels. I haven't met you but I met your sweet Mom at an ACTS Retreat that changed my life back in June of 2007 and I consider her a very dear friend. Something else changed me too and I'll never forget it!! Your Mom & Dad were taking care of your girls and I saw them at church with their heads bowed and hands praying and I'd just began praying for Tracye and your family. That moment touched my heart deeply!!
Just know even though I don't know you and i'm saddened I never met Tracye I believe for sure ya'll have a new special Angel in Heaven watching over all of ya'll now untill ya'll meet again!! Always hold each other tightly cherish the memories and know myself and others will be praying for you, the girls and your beautiful Tracye!! Sally has had our Precepts class in Brenham praying for Tracye and the family this whole semester, and although we never met her, we feel like we've lost one of our own. Doug, I worked with Tracye at Koch Microelectronic Service Co. I will forever remember the Christmas party we attended at your house and laughing at your shaved cat. Such memories help me at a time like this. Tracye was a wonderful, joyous person. It was great to catch up with her in March this year. Tracye and I met as provisional members of the Junior League. We were both in the same provisional group. Her bubbly and energetic personality will always remain with me. We found out that we were both ADPi's-she at Baylor and myself at A & M. I will always treasure the times we shared at the League. Her spirit will live on in her family and friends

Tracye was such a vibrant enthusiastic woman. She will be missed by so many. She is an inspiration for her bravery and determination in her fight against cancer. Her relentless battles will help so many in the future. She was a gift to all of us who knew her and those that didn't but will benefit from her courage. She is at peace now, and that is a blessing. We may not have her here with us, but she is in heaven looking out for all of us. The Lord has a great worker up there. She will keep him busy!

I hadn't seen or spoken with Tracye in years, but when we reconnected this past year, it was a wonderful honor. Tracye always had such a wonderful outlook on life, even when things seemed at their worst. She was put on this earth by our Glorious God to teach us all that life may not always be perfect, but to keep the faith and life will be good. Doug, I'm so very sorry for your loss and it breaks my heart to think of your precious little girls. I just keep telling myself that those girls, and yourself, now have one very special Guardian Angel to look over you always! I feel blessed to have known Tracye and called her my friend! Tracye is no doubt in the arms of our Lord. She was a breath of fresh air. She was probably the most delightful person I've even known. Truly always full of delight. Always cheerful, friendly and chatty yet incredibly deep and spiritual, and in her final fight, she stoically carried her cross with grace and dignity. What an inspirational example of faith she was to all of us. How blessed we are to have known this amazing woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to her beloved family.

I had a had a thought of seeing Tracye have fun at the 2009 Disco Ball at League wearing her afro wig and dancing and enjoying her friends and telling me how much she loved my dress. Dearest Tracye, You are with me in my thoughts more than you can know. Saturday night I missed your bubbly presence at the SVDP gala-auction. You would have dressed the theme and made it even more fun than it was, which was one of the best ever. Planning for BWS, another annual, I recall visiting last year with you about your presentations to the Junior League. When I commented about your strong positive gift to Houston women, you made little of it and complemented me.
As I try everyday to contribute and leave this world a better place, you inspire me! It takes mindfulness to add spark and spirit to all we do - you do that ALWAYS. I am sorry to hear that your battle with cancer is so difficult now. The hospital staff must be the lucky recipients of your wonderful spark and spirit even over the daily tasks of survival.
Please know that I miss you, pray for you and love you through the separation caused by infirmity. When will we see each other again? Whether it is in this world or the next, I will look forward to it!

We didn't know Tracye and her family personnally but frequently saw the entire family at church at St. Vincent de Paul. First there was one little girl, then two, then three and they made such a beautiful family. Tracye participated as a eucharistic minister and I know must have given us communion at some time during her tenure. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sellers family.

I met Tracye at the University Club gym more than a decade ago. We'd sit side by side and get ready for work each morning--every work day for three years--and she'd entertain me with funny stories about her family, friends, and how Doug just wouldn't pop the question. Well, he did pop the question, and I was overjoyed to be at the wedding...Over the years, I saw my dear friend evolve with graceful maturity and tremendous depth of character. She hit her stride as a wife, mother, and community leader, and we met up for lunch to chat about the joys of parenting. Then, I watched in humble admiration as she faced cancer with the highest amount of dignity, good humor, and courage.
My life has been forever changed by knowing this dynamic, compassionate woman who found good in most things and had a joke for just about everything else. Heaven's gain is our incredible loss, and I will never, ever forget her.
Doug, you and your girls are deeply loved by so many. God bless you during these darkest days, and may the memories of your precious wife start to slowly heal your heart. My prayers are with you, and I promise that you and the girls will never be forgotten by me, or my family.

As touched as I was to learn about Tracye's courageous fight and undying love for you and the girls, I was equally touched by your bravery.
