William Hubbell Obituary

WILLIAM H. HUBBELL, JR., 82, Chief Warrant Officer W-4 USN Retired 1936-1957 World War II and Korea. Harris County Sheriffs Deputy 1958-1970, Harris County District Attorney Office 1970-81 retired Chief Investigator, died, December 10, 2001. He was preceded in the death of his loving wife and best friend of 54 years. Survived by his daughters, Karen Massey and Deborah Pfunder; grandchildren, Kyle Pfunder, Christopher Massey, and Carrie Massey; great-grandson, Taylor Massey; his sister, Dorothy Ward as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Graduated from Reagan High School and attended South Texas Junior College. He was a member of the Reagan Lodge 1047 AF & AM and the Hubbell Family Historical Society. Supporter of the USN Memorial Foundation, "Plank Owner". Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2001, Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 13, 2001 in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jack T. Carr, officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
