Zachary Chase Stice
1984-2015
Zachary Chase Stice, adored by his wife and son and loved by so many, went to our Lord on the morning of Saturday, July 18, 2015 with his family by his side, much too soon at the age of 31 years. He married the love of his life, Kelsey Amanda Foster on August 6th, 2011 and was the loving father of Beckett Foster Stice, age 2. Zac was loved by all who knew him. He was a gracious, generous soul, who put the needs of others above his own. He fearlessly faced the challenges of life and fought his bout with cancer with great resolve and courage. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent countless hours in the woods hunting game and on the lakes and streams where he loved to fish often times with his cousin, Jared Miller. Technically, Zac was quite accomplished, earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and pursuing his lifelong passion for aviation design at Nordam and The Spaceship Company. At Nordam, he was acknowledged as "Engineer of the Year" in 2009. He returned to Oklahoma to work for Harsco in 2013. Harsco offered exceptional support during his 20 month long battle with cancer. In each of these roles, he became known for merging the complexity of engineering design with the practical constraints of the materials available for construction. While his contributions to each of his employers was important, these achievements pale in comparison to his greatest legacy as a devoted and loving Husband to Amanda and Father to Beckett.
In addition to his immediate family, Zac is survived by his Mom and Dad, Joni and Mike Stice; his brother and sister-in-law, Tanner and Rachel Stice, his Grandparents, John and Dolphine Stice and Dorothe Miller; his in-laws, Steve and Debbie Foster, and Jeremy and Shana Foster; his Uncles and Aunts, Jeff and Kathy Miller, Rob and Sue Polk, Jim and Julie Miller, and Marie Burry; his cousins, Jared and Laura Miller, Andrea Miller, Robbie Miller, Kelly and Steven Randolph, Jason and Amanda Polk, Jennifer and Ian Looper; nieces and nephews, Madilynn Wright, Tripp Foster, Blakelyn Foster, and Reagan Joy Stice.
To honor and celebrate Zac's life, his family invites you to share in a memorial service at LifeChurch in Moore, Oklahoma at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman. For those considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests they be made to "Tenaciously Teal" or to the "Stephenson Cancer Center," two organizations committed to the fight against cancer.

To the Stice family: Zach's indomitable spirit will live on and continue to touch our lives. It is a blessing that I got to know him as my student and friend at Oklahoma University. I will always remember him as one who made the world a better place in his short time in this life. He is very special and will live in our hearts forever.

Kevin and I are your neighbors up Little Hawk Lane, and are so sorry to hear of your loss. What a fine young man. We remember your kindness in rescuing us as we struggled to get our Airstream up our hill. May God bless and protect your family.

Dear Stice Family
I am so sorry for your loss. Zac was so courageous in his battle and I feel so blessed to have had the oppurtunity to have called him friend. I will miss him greatly .I remember how I enjoyed the talks we had about his work and family or about his hunting and fishing. Zac was just an easy person to talk to. When I would cut his hair we would always fight with his calic. I remember the last time I cut his hair and he had been wearing it a little longer for a while. Zac asked me that day to cut it short and I will never forget saying " Zac now don't you tell Amanda I was the one who cut your hair so short " I would always joke with him about that, but little did I know that Zac was going to share his news that day broke my heart. My heart aches for you Amanda.
Miss you gobbs and bunches Mr. Zac Stice

Mike and Joni, I can't find adequate words to express the emptiness I feel . I met Zac ten years ago when he took my course at OU. Even then he told me how much he loved to hunt and fish. He said that's what he would do if he could make a living. But he became an engineer, and in doing so, he made the world a better place. He touched the lives of so many of us, and I will miss him. My wife and I send our love to Zac's family. He was truly special, and I am honored to have known him and experienced his special spirit.
With love and deep respect, Jerry Holmes

Mike and family...so sorry to hear about Zac. There's no way I can possibly understand the depth of hurt and pain you feel. All I can really offer is my prayers to God for your family. My prayers will be for God to provide an incredible peace and comfort to your family now and in the days, months, and years ahead. I know there is no way to fill the void that's in your hearts without God's special grace.

It is with great sadness that I say good bye to a friend who enjoyed life and the outdoors. We shared many stories of our adventures and routinely discussed what the next big adventure will be. As my friend passes he moves onto the next big field to hunt and stream to fish. Take care my friend, you'll be greatly missed.....so when you're in that heavenly hunting ground tag that big buck when you see him.....good bye Zac.
