Barbara Weir Obituary
She was born on April 2, 1944 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Albert and Mae (Belz) Pollen. Barbara was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On June 19, 1965 she married Kenneth Weir Sr. in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1986. Barbara was a member of Faith Community Church and volunteered at the Senior Center in Weyauwega and also cooked at Spencer Lake Bible Camp. Barbara enjoyed crafts, bird watching, cooking and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her long time loving friend and companion: Glen Miller, Whitelaw; a son and daughter-in-law: R. Michael & Mary Beth Weir, Brandon, Wisconsin; and three sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia (Ernie) Van Frachen, Tulsa, OK, Pamela (Terry) Willis, Fond du Lac, and Diana (Donald) Cameron, Newton. Also surviving are many loving grandchildren, nieces, a great nephew, and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son: Thomas Weir, a sister: Donna Goeke and a niece: Kim Marie Goeke.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Faith Community Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Jeremy Vance with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Friends may also call Thursday morning at Faith Community Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
