It was a special treat to collaborate with Mary at University of Pennsylvania Archives. In addition to her broad historical knowledge and web expertise, Mary brought a special enthusiasm and excitement for our work together. Her courage and strength as she faced ALS was quite extraordinary, and a shining example to anyone facing tragedy. My deepest sympathies to her treasured family. Susan Molofsky Todres

I am sending my condolences and may special memories of Mary bring you comfort at this time. God will soon wipe out every tear and death, mourning, outcry and pain will be no more. Thinking of the family.

Dear Richard, Ned, and Alex:

Please accept my sincerest sympathies with the sad news that Mary has succumbed to ALS. I'm sure this a bitter moment for you all.

I count Mary among my first friendly contacts when I started at Penn in 2006. Soon I was to become acquainted with Ned. (Ned I'm with you on this terrible event. Any help I can provide you let me know.)

It has been a dreadful journey for you
all since Mary's diagnoses. I know she is in a much better place and, rest assured, her memory and spirit is with
you always.

With deepest condolences,
