Richard E. Anhalt

Mishicot - Richard E. Anhalt, age 77, a Mishicot resident, entered into eternal life Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. Richard was born December 18, 1940 in Manitowoc Co. to the late Henry and Althea Burkhardt Anhalt. He was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School and served his country for four years in the United States Army. In 1966 he married the former Melanie Pelisek, and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. He was an industrial electrician working for Paragon Electric for more than 30 years. Richard enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers, gardening, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Melanie, one son, Dean (Mary) Anhalt, of Mishicot, one daughter: Becky (Raj) Kandyil, of Phoenix, AZ, five grandchildren: Samantha and Donovan Anhalt, Ruston and Riah Kandyil, Derick (Hope) Hagenow, of Mishicot and their children: Payton, Ryin, and Leighton Hagenow. He is further survived by two brothers: Larry (Dolores) Anhalt, of Two Rivers, David Anhalt, of Manitowoc, three sisters: Jeanne (Roger) Ringmeier, of Manitowoc, Patricia (Jim) Topping, of North Carolina, and Pam (Tony) Zehren, of Georgia, brothers-in-law: Wilbur (Bill) Kumbalek, of Oshkosh, Robert (Janice) Pelisek,, of IL, Frank Pelisek, of Mishicot, a sister-in-law: Ann (Charles) Wilsmann, of Mishicot, and many other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law: Jerome Anhalt and Robert (Bernice) Anhalt; two sisters: Marilyn Kumbalek and Kathy Anhalt; and one brother-in-law: Milton (Shirley) Pelisek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot, with Deacon Rich Bahnaman officiating, with burial of his cremated remains to follow in the Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery Hwy. 310 Manitowoc with military rites accorded by the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post #7753. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home Thursday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation. A special thank you to Jenny McDole, Loree, Kim, and the staff at the Aurora Medical Center for their care and compassion extended to Richard. Your kindness will always be remembered.
