Roger A. Klein

Two Rivers, WI - Roger A. Klein, age 88, lifetime resident of Two Rivers, died peacefully early Sunday morning, June 24, 2018 at the Northland Lodge in Two Rivers.

Roger was born in Two Rivers on December 27, 1929 to the late Anton and Amelia (Rosinsky) Klein. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, and served his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force from 1947-1950. On June 9, 1951, he married Charlotte M. Meyer at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Roger was a truck driver for 42 years, employed with Schneider National of Green Bay; and has been a teamsters member since 1950. Roger served as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Two Rivers Fire Department for many years; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1957 where he served on the house committee and as Past Grand Knight; and was also a former member of the Silver K - Kiwanis Club. Roger enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and traveling with family; he also enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead; doing puzzles; and riding his Farmall H Tractor and his Simplicity lawnmower.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Charlotte (Meyer) Klein; his children, Karen (John) Oskey of Shiocton, Steve (Cindy) Klein of Manitowoc, John (Linda) Klein of Whitelaw, Dick (Lisa) Klein of Hortonville, and Sue Klein of Green Bay; thirteen grandchildren: Jeff (Loretta) Oskey, Kris (Rick) Bodway, Nick Oskey, Beth (Jordan) Rank, Amanda Oskey-Lee, Katie (Joel) Doughty, Chris Klein, Pat Klein, Cassie (Kevin) Krajnik, Tyler Klein, Dereck (Sarah) Klein, Alex Klein and Ashley Klein; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Abby, Emma, Jon, Tyler, Mallory, Beau, Logan, Lauren, Owen, Harrison, Griffin, Edward and Madison. He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Elroy Ringmeier, Marlene (Leon) Strutz, Charles (Ruth) Indestad, and George (Mary) Indestad; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son & daughter-in-law, Mike (Terri) Klein; sisters: Carol (Gerald) Kruse, Ruth (Ray) Messman, Vernetta (Bob) Koch; a brother, Hilary (Blanche) Allie; and sisters-in-law: Janice Ringmeier, Doris (Art) Riesterer, and Janet Indestad.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausolem, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Military graveside honors will be accorded at the church immediately following the mass by members of the American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Thursday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation held.
