Bonnie Jean Stein

1928 - 2025

NAMPA - Bonnie Jean Stein, passed away on November 8, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born February 12, 1928, in Boise, Idaho, to Carl and Charlotte Feeler. The family moved to Nampa where she was raised with one sister, Leatha, and two brothers, Jay and Carl. After graduating from Nampa High School in 1946 and attending the University of Idaho for one year, she worked for Idaho Power for several years. In 1949 she met Bob Stein through friends, and in 1951, they were married. Bob was employed as a banker in Nampa until his retirement. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage before Bob's passing in 2005. They had two children, Karen and Jon. While raising her children she was a bookkeeper at Nampa Drug.

Bonnie and Bob were able to realize a life-long dream and in 1972, they purchased a plot of ground in Crouch, Idaho and the family project of building the cabin began. It was all hands-on deck as everyone in the family helped with the construction. For a couple of years, they went to Crouch every weekend to build the cabin until it was complete. They enjoyed the cabin for many years, going up every weekend, hosting friends, family and bank parties. Their grandson, Jon spent much of his childhood at the cabin with Mema and Gomps. They enjoyed the hummingbirds, wildlife and the gorgeous view.

Their last home was in Silvercrest II where they had many friends. After Bob passed away in 2005, Bonnie took many trips across the U.S. with her travel buddies.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Karen (Mike) Ramsey; son Jon (Amy) Stein; grandson Jon (Annie) Geselle, two great-grandsons, Ezra and Matisse Geselle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and many treasured friends.

At her request, there will be no services. She will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery with her husband, Bob. Arrangements are under the direction to All Valley Crematorium.
