Brian Byers Obituary

Boise - Brian Joe Byers, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in Meridian, Idaho. He was born June 23, 1948, in Emporia, Kansas to Marvin E. and June (Webber) Byers. His parents raised him in a Christian home where he attended College Church of the Nazarene with the rest of his family. He was a 1966 graduate of Nampa High School and served 2 years in the National Guard. Joe worked in many trades, spending most of his time with retail sales. He loved the outdoors, camping, gardening, and traveling when he could. Joe enjoyed creating art and was quite good with cartoons, lettering, and painting. He worked many craft shows; selling barnwood boxes and signs that he made. Joe made friends easily and was generous with his jokes. He is survived by a sister, Bonnie (Norm) Willis; a brother, Don (Debi) Byers; a son Brian C. Byers; two daughters, Bobbie Bjork and Jill Byers-Jones; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin, and June. As per his instructions, Joe's cremated remains will be returned to the beautiful wilderness of Idaho. Remember Joe as you will and celebrate his life as you wish.

Joe was a favorite customer of mine at Albertson's so many years ago. When my now 46 year old son broke his femur at the age of 5 he showed up at the hospital in full clown attire to cheer up that little guy in traction. Always so nice. Hugs to Brian, his son, that worked with me at Albertson's.

Joe was a very special person and very easy to like and admire. He never met a stranger and we all valued his friendship!
