1937 - 2025

Meridian - Floyd Joseph Combe, 88, of Meridian, left this world on Monday, March 3, 2025 to be with his heavenly father and Savior, Jesus Christ. he was welcomed by his wife Mary who preceded him in death.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 3 PM at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave S., Nampa, ID 83651. A private burial took place at Dry Creek Cemetery, Boise. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com

Floyd was born January 11, 1937, in Ogden, Utah to Joseph and Blanche Combe. He grew up on a dairy farm in Ogden, Utah and loved exploring the Wasatch Mountains and graduated from Weber High School in 1955. He took pleasure in the outdoors, fishing, walking, and spending time with family. He accepted Christ as his Savior late in his teen years and loved discussing and studying the Bible. he also enjoyed talking about tractors.

In the fall of 1959, he attended York Christian College in York, Nebraska, where he met the love of his life, Mary Sherard and were married February 25,1961 in Gillette, Wyoming. They soon started a family in Ogden, Utah, where he worked for his uncle Art and cousin Basil Combe and later opened his own landscaping business. Eventually they settled in Meridian, Idaho with their four children. Floyd and Mary owned and operated Action Cleaning Services, a successful carpet and upholstery cleaning business for more than 28 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In May 2017, he married a longtime family friend Esther Hightower.

He leaves behind his four children, Ray and Charlotte Combe (Boise); Jim and Marlene Combe (Nampa); Darlene and Bob Robinson (Nampa); Rebekah and Ron Hope (Boise). Five stepchildren, Jim, Mike, Brian, Julie, and Christi, 11 Grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He will be in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed by all.
