My heart sunk when I heard of Glen's passing. Knowing him for 40 years, I admired, respected the man from the first day I met and shook his hand to greet him. He represented to me the type of man I hoped to emulate. Strong, conscientious, skilled at his labor, and most personable.
I was fortunate to know Joyce and Sarah and admire a remarkable family both in Cda and the years following in Boise. Our immediate paths ended when I moved to Cda and Glen remained in Boise. But our frequent contact continued as he was my supervisor and continuing mentor. We shared hunting and fishing trips in addition to our professional positions before out separation put miles between us.
Now, I say this without any reservation or doubt. Glen was and is, the most influential person in my entire life. He stood beside me, not in front. He helped me when I knew he didn't have to. He supported me when not asked. He believed in me and bolstered my confidence. I will forever cherish his friendship and leadership.
My sincere sympathy to Joyce, Sarah, and family for your loss of his presence.

Glenn always made us smile. He was our friend early in our lives but we never forgot his smile or his laugh.
