Jennie Dirksen Obituary
Jennie was born on November 1, 1935 in Oud Alblas, Netherlands. She married Gerald Dirksen in Holland and they immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1957. In 1964 they along with their two children, Mary and Rick immigrated to the United States. Together they established Dirksland Dairy in Meridian, Idaho. Several years after the passing of her husband, Gerald she married Dan DeLeeuw in 2000 and they made their home in Colborne, Ontario, Canada where she continued to enjoy farm life on the DeLeeuw Orchard. Following Dan's passing she moved to Shoreline, WA in 2022 to be near her daughter, Mary.
Jennie's friendliness and kindness of spirit will be missed by family and friends.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Rick Dirksen Memorial Endowed Scholarship, University of Idaho Foundation, 875 Perimeter Dr. MS 3143, Moscow, Idaho 83844-3143.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jennie will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa, Idaho 83651. A private inurnment will precede the service at the Meridian Cemetery.
