Jerry Severns Obituary
October 23, 1957 - January 2, 2015
Jerry (57) passed away in Midvale, ID. He was born in Nampa, ID to Lance and Janet (Ryska) Severns. He is survived by one brother Steve, and two sisters Susan and Mia. Jerry married his high school sweetheart Kim Borchers. They were married 18 years and had two wonderful boys Ashley (wife Dione) and Chase (wife Dawn). He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren Elizabeth, Gabriel and Caden.
He was a poetic, humble, hardworking, and kind man with a passion for horses and working cattle. He loved to spend time in the woods and was an avid hunter. One of his quotes was "The measure of who I am is through the greatness of my children not through the persona of what people think of me." Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
To celebrate Jerry's life the family has requested a cover dish in lieu of flowers on January 17th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm located at the Vendome Event Center, 309 State Street, Weiser, Idaho.

I'm using some of Jerry's own words - "Never be afraid to leave your footprints on the path of life because our children need something to follow...j.p". You have left footprints that will be very hard to follow as you have done so much with your life. I miss you & your Cowboy Wisdom very much. Love you - your sis (Susan)

Steve, Ashley and Chase. I met you each years ago but only briefly. I am glad to have known Jerry. I knew him since 9th grade, He was a hard worker and an old world stand-up guy of which there are not many left. I'm sorry for your/our loss.
