Margaret Blake Obituary

Nampa - With great love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and wife, Margie Blake, who left this world peacefully on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, after a sudden and brief illness. She was 81 years old.

Margie's final moments were surrounded by the people she cherished most-her devoted husband of 41 years, Bruce Blake, and her children Renee', Kim, and Brian-each one a living testament to the unconditional love and fierce devotion she gave so freely throughout her life.

Born on January 6, 1944, in Buhl, Idaho, Margie was the sixth of nine children born to William and Pauline Moore. She married Gary Rodenspiel in 1962, and together they raised three children in Nampa, Idaho. Though she later divorced, Margie would find love again, marrying Bruce Blake in 1984, and they lived doing what they loved best-RV camping and bass fishing, especially at their favorite spot, Brownlee Reservoir.

A proud homemaker and mother extraordinaire, Margie poured her soul into every birthday cake, afghan, picnic, every moment spent cheering or comforting her family. Margie often said the birth of her children changed her life for the better-and her children grew up wrapped in the comfort of that love.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Blake; daughters Renee' Johnstone (Larry) and Kim Funk (Jim); her son, Brian Rodenspiel (Lori); granddaughters Darcie Barnes, Bree Bain, and Britnee Adams (Moses); great-grandchildren Grace and Benjamin Barnes, Brooklyn Bain, Sophee and her soon-to-arrive little brother, Moke Adams; her sister Viola Eels and brother Dennis Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents, stillborn son Michael, her six siblings and her grandson-in-law Tyler Bain.

Margie's life will be celebrated this coming spring in a way that would've made her smile-a classic picnic in the park, complete with red checkered tablecloths, fried chicken, homemade ice cream, maybe even a few ants and a warm Idaho breeze. "Mom, we will miss you immensely. You were our anchor in storms, our warmth in the cold, and our greatest cheerleader. You lived for our happiness-and we are who we are because of your generous love."

My heart is full of many treasured memories at your house as a child. Your parents always made me feel like I was one of their kids. If Kim was in trouble so was I and I was fine with that. We went out to pizza, watched movies wrapped up in your mom's Afghans that was made by love. I asked Mom if she would make me one of her Afghans that I always cherished. She blessed me with one before she threw away her needles.
Little did I know she was fat at work making me another beautiful Afghan in Tristan's favorite colors after her
He passed. I know how long it took her and how much she cared for me to do this. I wrap myself up in it every night in hopes that they both know how much I miss them and O hope that they have reached eachother.
I'm confidant that your mom is telling Tristan how much we miss him.
There was never a day that I can remember your mom not being radiant. She was just a beautiful woman that knew exactly what she wanted and wasn't afraid to tell anyone about it. I admired her for that. A woman that knew what she wanted. We all have another angel to guard us. God's blessings to you all and thank you for sharing your momma with me!!!love you all a bushel and a peck!!
