Colo Family. My prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. I worked with Mike at North Island and have known him for many years. I was in his "Lottery Pool" too for many years with the hopes of hitting the big one! It was fun and brought us all a little closer. We will all miss him here and I know his spirit is still walking around here, but now without the pain. Just know he will always be remembered.

My heart aches, my eyes cry and my mind races with thoughts of your loss. Love for a child is a beautiful and terrible thing. Beautiful in the joy and memories of holding and loving the child that is more precious than self. Terrible is our vulnerability, the endless worry, and the knowledge that we can't protect the child from life's cruelties.
May you take comfort from knowing that you loved and cared for Michael unselfishly. Friends spendign time with you and your family easily see the love you have for your children. God was good when he blessed Michael with you for his parents. May bless and comfort you.

Goodbye Michael. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin your new life's journey. I wish we could have known eachother better, as uncle and niece, but I will always carry in my heart the fondest memory of you, and in fact the earliest memory I have of my life. I can remember laying in my crib in the bedroom at 407 right across from Grandpa and Grandma's room. I guess I borrowed that room from you. You were standing over my crib talking to me and making faces and I must have been too small to respond. Then there was that Christmas when I was ten and hoping for more Barbies you bought me "The Hobbit". Of course I didn't understand THAT! I didn't finish reading it until I was 12. I loved it and I still do. Take Care Michael, one day I'll be up there with you and we can discuss "The Hobbit". Prayers and Love Forever. -Sammi

To Sunny and the kids, Nick ,Marg, and all of Mikes'brothers & sisters I will miss Mike. He was a true friend. He went hunting and fishing with me even though he did not care if he caught a fish or seen a deer. Mike was just happy to get out of town and relax. I remember one night all of us was playing poker when Mike was dealt a winning hand. I bet and he stood up and slammed down two aces beating my two kings. He said a phrase that we all still use when we play poker and have a winning hand. Goodbye Mike. My prayers are with your family.

Good-bye Mikee... I'll miss you bud. We had a lot of good times and laughs over the years. I remember the Basque dances we shared as well as the late night poker games that you catered with 'left overs' from the resturant. You were the only person I knew that would fish with no bait so that you wouldn't be interupted from reading a book.
Who else would wait for a lake to dry up, just to retrieve a wrist watch lost in deep water? I'm sad that I have lost a friend, but thankful for the memories and the smiles they still bring to me.
To Sunny and the girls, Nick, Marj and the rest of you Colo gang. My prayers are with you.

Mikee, goodbye my friend ... am so sorry to see you go.
Will remember the way you could be so impatient and will miss your competitiveness over college studies. Will miss making you jump with a loud noise and you calling me cowboy. Will miss playing shot glass checkers (and you telling my parents).
I can't think of anyone else I know that would spend a San Diego afternoon finding a lost contact in a pool or anyone else that would do so much for a friend.
Godspeed Mikee ... hope this finds you in a better place.

I remember when Sunny first met Mike, she worked at the North's Chuckwagon his family had in Nampa. We had a lot in common, Sunny and I, as my family and I had a little cafe in Melba. She would often stop in with her family, and we would talk. Michael impressed her from the start, and when he came in with her, we could see why. Mike's caring and consideration for Sunny and her family was both impressive and sweet. It was clear from the looks they gave each other where the relationship was headed, and the wedding and reception at St. Chapelle was elegant and fun. As their family grew, Michael's devotion to his girls was always clear, as was theirs to him. After North's closed, he let us have a corner booth for our cafe-it's still there-and his generosity and kindness to friends and family will be missed. God Bless you Michael, we'll see you on the other side, The Jeff Fugates
