Paul Hidalgo Obituary
September 24, 1961 - September 3, 2014
Paul Gilbert Hidalgo, 52, Caldwell, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at a local hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th at Dakan Chapel, Caldwell. A viewing will be held prior at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following services. Paul was born in Caldwell on September 24, 1961 to Lucy M. Collins and Able Hidalgo. He was a Jack-Of-All-Trades, but was most proud of his time with Boise Mobile Equipment, Inc. building fire truck engines.
His passion was being out on the mound. Those who had the privilege of playing with and against him, or just to watch, can all agree that he was a solid fixture on the field.
Paul will be reunited with his mother, Lucy Collins; his sister, Dorothy Balderas; and brothers, Richard Hidalgo and David Hidalgo.
He leaves behind his true love, Lois Hidalgo, (they married in September of 1990, but first laid their eyes on each other at the age 14); his daughters, Katie Hidalgo-Lara, Racheal Hidalgo-Garcia, Andera Hidalgo, and Candice Schneider; his sons, Ernesto Lara and Miguel Garcia; 8 grandchildren, Gabriel, Arianna, Elijah, Cristian, Anthony, Maritza, Ethan, and Annallely; 3 sisters, Carol Ingram, Tina Martin and Toni Hidalgo; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Paul So many memories to tell but the one that stands out is being on his softball team and him making me be the catcher! I was so bad but he didnt care cause he had confidence in me that he made me do it! one year we had a Birthday party with all our friends that had birthday name was on that cake and boy did we have a great day! The shelfs the boxes he made for us will always hang on our wall and sit on our shelfs! I LOve you Buddy will miss you! I know if there is ball games in heaven he will be in them all! My condolences to all his family!

Paul was more than a friend of mine..He was a brother to me and was always there when I needed him..He treated me like a little brother he didn't have and I had so much respect for him as a friend..I will miss your genuine friendship and if I ever win the lottery I will keep my word..lol..love ya Brother
