TRAVIS WRIGHT Obituary

MERIDIAN - Travis Ray Wright, 54, of Meridian, ID passed away October 10, 2025 doing one of the things he loved, camping & exploring the southwest. Travis was born in Lansing, MI on December 29, 1970 the son of Richard Bruce Wright & Nancy Lee Wright (McKenzie). When Travis was four years old his family moved from Michigan back to Idaho, his parents wanted to return to Idaho to raise their children. Schools Travis attended were Franklin Elementary, West Junior High & Borah High. After graduation he joined & served honorably in the Idaho Air National Guard. He also attended Boise State University for two years.

Travis met & married Heather Anderson & together they embarked on life's adventure, making their first home in Meridian ID. They raised two sons, Taison Lloyd Wright & Maxwell Thomas Wright. After a few years they made the decision to pack up & move to Kauai HI where they lived for several years & enjoyed many beautiful warm sunny days on the ocean. Some years later back in Meridian, they purchased a home located on a golf course which made it convenient for Travis & the boys to enjoy one of their shared passions. Folks were never quite sure whether they sneaked in a few free shots during off hours or not, but the house did back right up to one of the fairways. Their two favorite Golden Retrievers also shared this home.

Travis loved the outdoors & exploring new places. You could find him & his boys, along with numerous friends, snowboarding at Bogus Basin all winter long right after the first snow. He shared many outings with his father Bruce & brother Kirk exploring the Idaho & Oregon mountains, occasionally they would even get in a little hunting. He also accompanied them twice to Mexico, Travis loved the warm Mexican climate & the rugged terrain. One winter Travis with Kirk took a trip to Mount Hood, spending days snowboarding & hiking all over the mountain. Those were some of his favorite adventures. Travis loved Meeting people, and was quick to share his laughter, joy, and energy with all those he met. He loved his pets & all animals.

He sold real estate part-time & worked a number of years in the restaurant industry, he enjoyed tending bar. To say that Travis was a car enthusiast would be a major understatement. He thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of motoring whether it be reviewing all the latest car models, wheels & tires, exhaust systems, periodic maintenance or most important, washing, & detailing his vehicles.

Travis later married Christina Sali, they made their home in Meridian,

sharing raising the two boys with the boy's mother Heather & her husband Steve Howell. Some years later, Travis & Christina moved to Mexico where they lived for two years, again enjoying the warm climate. Due to a medical condition Travis moved back to Idaho in late 2024.

He is survived by son Taison (Hannah) Wright, son Maxwell (Rose) Wright, sister Ginger Wright, brother Kirk Wright, mother Nancy Walter & step father Tom Walter. Plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Wright.

At this time no memorial service is planned, however there may be a Celebration of Life for family & friends this coming summer.
