Wenda Coons Obituary
In 1974 Wendy went to work as the City Clerk in Marsing. She then went to work for Canyon County Sheriff's office in 1984 before retiring in 1988.
In 1990 she and dad moved full time to their cabin in Garden Valley where they thoroughly enjoyed retirement life and meeting many new friends.
In 2001, after Dad's passing, mom moved to Nampa, where she resided until her sudden passing. Mom's greatest pleasures were spending time with her family, all her wonderful friends (old and new), playing cards, camping, traveling, and volunteering with the Nampa Civic Center and Saint Alphonsus Nampa Auxiliary for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Zella (Babe) Bowman, her husband Lyle, her brother Jerry Bowman, and her niece Denise.
To quote Mom: "I have been truly blessed all through my life, I've made many great lifelong friends wherever I've resided. I'm so fortunate to remain connected with my Marsing classmates from our graduating class of 1953, my card group (Marsing) we've laughed, cried, and continued lifelong friendships all through the years. I am sorry to say "so long" to my family, my daughter Colleen (Rod) Kost and son Terry (Nenita) Coons. My grandchildren Sabra, Katy, Jake, and Emma. My stepson Lloyd Coons, his children Justin, Stephanie and Stacie. My sister-in-law and dear friend Laura Bowman and two former daughters in law Carol and Jackie".
Mom is also survived by her great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her cherished friends.
Memorial services are planned for 11:00 am on Friday April 22, 2022 at the Marsing American Legion-Community Hall 126 Old Bruneau Hwy, Marsing, ID 83639
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marsing American Legion Post #128 or Marsing Ambulance. Condolences can be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com

I would like to express my sympathy on Wendy's passing. I was her Deacon at the First United Presbyterian Church of Nampa. I found her to be a very warm and loving person. She will be missed greatly for caring fellowship by our congregation. Patty Bloomquist
