Barry P. Meader
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - In loving memory of our son, brother, uncle and companion, Barry P. Meader, who passed away on January 3, 2013, in Flagstaff, Arizona of pneumonia.
Barry Meader was born in Pocatello on June 10, 1952, to Phillip and Marion Meader. Barry attended school in American Falls and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He lived most of his life in Flagstaff and worked in construction for various local companies and later his own. In his later years he found great joy in helping with whatever chores needed taken care of for friends and family. Even as his health started to fail, he would not give up and continued to help others, whether it be working in the yard or plowing snow.
He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and Winslow BPOE.
He loved spending time fishing on Lake Roosevelt in Arizona. He was known for his cheerful laugh, sense of humor and his early morning phone calls which will all be truly missed.
He is survived by his companion of 32 years, Barbara Johnson of Flagstaff; daughters, Denise (Jim) and Cammie (Chris,) all of Phoenix; granddaughter, Rhianna of Phoenix; mother, Marion of Pocatello; brothers, Greg (Linda) of Pocatello, Francis and Kevin of Portland, Oregon; and nieces, Brandi Johnson and Misti Meader; great-nieces, Ciarra, Hunter, and Justine; and great-nephews, Kaison, Chance and Tyrel.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Phillip, his brother, Gary, and his nephew, Brian.
Contributions can be made in Barry's name to the American Diabetes Association. Services will be held at a later date.
